Emcee of the Night
Welcome back, Teresa Woodard, WFAA Reporter and Weekend Anchor

Teresa Woodard is the weekend anchor and a senior reporter at WFAA in Dallas, TX, specializing in general assignment reporting.
Teresa is someone like you and me. Hagar’s Heart adores Teresa! In November 2021, Teresa and our Founder sat down for a vulnerable, real talk about her story of domestic violence. Teresa not only made a hard talk easy, she portrayed to DFW exactly what Jennifer wanted the world to hear: Domestic violence is more than a black eye, and words matter.
She is a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas near White Rock Lake. She attended DISD schools and Texas A&M University. She has worked at television stations in College Station, Waco, Knoxville, and St. Louis before coming back home to Dallas. Teresa and a team of WFAA reporters won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for a series of stories on domestic violence in Dallas. . No surprise that Teresa is also an Emmy Award winner.
Teresa loves travel, running, and DOGS. People might be surprised to learn she is a HUGE sports fan and just lived her dream life of reporting on the field and in Arizona for the World Champion Texas Rangers! And like any native Texan, she has one more surprise… – adoring George Strait.
