What is Carry the Joy?
Carry the Joy is our annual fundraiser that allows us to raise money for Hagar's Heart programs. A percentage of the night directly goes to each partner shelter for specific needs to support self-care and emotional support. These efforts culminate in a way that helps them to build the skills that will let them know they are seen, valued, and loved.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline states it best:
Self-care is a simple concept, yet for many of us, it can be incredibly difficult in practice. It is especially challenging for victims and survivors of abuse, who are often made to feel like they are not worthy of love or care.
Our Carry the Joy event is a silent auction, live auction, and dinner, themed around things that “carry” joy. Help us #carrythejoy! Tag Hagar's Heart and use hashtag #carrythejoy to help us grow and share our mission, once you buy your tickets!
What does my in-person ticket include?
Your ticket to Carry the Joy 2023 admission to the event, dinner, 2 drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic), and dessert.
Is this a family event?
Not this time. Carry the Joy 2023 is for adults (18 and over).
Can men attend?
YES!
Who will I sit by?
All seating will be opened seating, unless you purchase a table. There will be lots of options to sit and mingle throughout the night. If you would like to buy a table to sit with friends, please check out our 2 table options.
What should I wear?
Carry the Joy 2023 is a fun, casual party! Think jeans, date night, or girls' night out!
Will there be music?
Yes!
What if I want more than 2 drinks?
There will be a cash bar after you use your drink tokens. Drink tokens are for select alcoholic drinks only.
